I always knew it would come to this. I’ve been putting
this off for a while now, but I believe the time for facades is over. When I
first began these essays, I fully intended for them to be just that; a series
of essays educating mankind about the vampire. However, as we have progressed
we have moved beyond the essay. With the general success of my anecdotes, I
began to think that maybe I’d been going about this business the wrong way.
Perhaps information as alien as this is better told through a narrative. That
remains to be seen.
In any event, a shift has occurred, one that I have
decided to embrace. The essay, while tremendously useful, has become more and
more obsolete. Henceforth, The Vampiric Essays will focus more on anecdotes as
the primary information exchange method, and focus less on the more factual
essay. Due to the more intense time commitment demanded by an anecdote, I am
also extending the interim period between updates. In the past I have updated
on a more or less weekly basis. From now on, I will update every two weeks.
You should consider yourselves blessed to be receiving
such high-quality literature twice in a month. That is all. You may return to
your hum-drum lives.
Not sure how I feel about this...
